The firm
MAOZ Investigations
An international private investigations firm with teams in Tel Aviv, New York and Los Angeles — for files whose evidence is spread across borders.
Why international
The firm opened in Tel Aviv in 2007, after years in financial crime units and international enforcement. The same question came up in every file: the money left here, but where did it land — and who is going to go and check there.
The New York office opened in 2014 and Los Angeles in 2019. The difference is not only geographic: a locally licensed investigator who knows the registries and what is permitted in their own jurisdiction is the difference between admissible evidence and material that cannot be filed.
What that means in practice
Every file is run from one office, even when the work happens in three. There is one investigator accountable, one log, and one file number — not three reports that have to be stitched together afterwards.
We work mostly alongside law firms, in-house legal departments and audit committees, and sometimes directly with companies. Where the work is done under attorney–client privilege, that is agreed in writing before it starts.
What was not found
Our reports also state what was examined and did not surface. "No findings" in a country without a public registry is not the same finding as "no findings" in Delaware, and whoever decides on the basis of the report needs to be able to tell them apart.
It is also why we decline files. Where the scope is undefined, where the brief is "find something on him", or where what is asked for cannot be lawfully obtained, we say so in the first conversation.

Offices
Three offices, one continuous working day
When Tel Aviv closes, New York is mid-afternoon. An urgent file does not wait for anybody's morning.

Principles
Absolute confidentiality
What is said in the first conversation stays there, whether or not we take the file.
A source for every finding
Every line in a report rests on a document, an observation or an interview — with a date and a means of acquisition.
Locally licensed
In every jurisdiction the work is done by a team licensed under that jurisdiction's rules.
No promises
We set out what can be checked and at what odds. Anyone promising a finding is selling something else.
